Sharon D. Weaver, age 77, of Blue Springs Terrace, Danville, passed away early Wednesday May 10, 2023 at her home.
Born in Berwick on October 25, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Olen and Elva (Fink) Saunders. A 1963 graduate of Berwick High School, she was born and raised in Berwick. She resided in Danville for the past 35 years.
Sharon was last employed in the revenue control department at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, retiring in 1997 after a 30 year tenure.
She was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Berwick.
Sharon enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to flea markets on Wednesdays, going to Boscov’s, socializing, embroidering jackets, and making chocolate. In her earlier years she enjoyed camping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin J. Weaver, in April 1987; a brother, Fred, in 2011; and a sister, Wanda, in October 2021.
Sharon is survived by two sons: Martin D. Weaver, and his wife Ana, of Danville, and Kevin E. Weaver, and his wife Karen, of Mifflinville; seven grandchildren: Kristine, Shannon, Nickie, Cheyenne, Alexis, Christopher, and Christian; six great-grandchildren: Reese Junior, Keisel, Jeannetta, Grayson, Mayhala, and Kylo; many nieces and nephews and extended, adopted family members.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday May 27, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. in the Pine Grove Annex Cemetery, Walnut St., Berwick. A meal will be provided following the service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
