Shirley Mae Densberger

Shirley Mae (Whispell) Densberger, ago 90, of Danville passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Grandview Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Danville where she was a guest for over five years. She took her love for angels and grew wings to become one.

She was born on May 7, 1931 in Sunbury.

Shirley was a 1949 graduate of Danville High School.

She had been employed in several nursing homes as an aide and last worked as a bus driver transporting handicapped students for the Berwick School District.

Shirley was an excellent sewer and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold James Densberger, on October 15, 1979 and by a son Dennis A. (Alphi) Densberger.

Shirley is survived by two sons: Bruce Densberger and his wife Linda, Danville and Mark Alan Densberger of Danville; a daughter, Joni, wife of Chris Crossley, Danville; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a brother William Whispell and his wife Sandra, Bloomsburg.

She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 1:30 p. m. in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Bloom Road, Danville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 133 Bloom Road, Danville.
