Shirley M. (Robbins) Faux, age 76, 401 Mill St., Orangeville, died at 4:55 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she was a patient for one year.
Born in Orangeville on October 9, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Glenn W. and Leona M. (Muffley) Robbins. A lifelong resident of Orangeville, she graduated from the former Scott Township High School in 1955.
Shirley was last employed by the former Klingerman Nursing Home, Orangeville, retiring in 1997 after 17 years employment. Earlier she was employed by the former Bloomsburg Mill, Inc. Bloomsburg for 10 years.
Shirley was a member of the Orangeville United Church; the Orangeville Homemakers group; and the Orangeville Fire Company Auxiliary. For many years she assisted in making the ice cream for the annual Fireman's Carnival.
She enjoyed camping and spending time at the family farm in Zion Grove. She never missed her son or grandsons baseball games and was an avid Philadelphia "Phillies" fan.
Surviving are her husband, Charles T. Faux, with whom she celebrated her 54th wedding anniversary on June 27, 2013; a son, Richard C. Faux and his wife Trudy; two grandson's, Brandon R. Faux and his fiance Missie Matayas and Matthew R. Faux and a sister, Sandra, wife of Irvin C. Taylor all of Orangeville; a niece, Wendy Risch, Phillipine Islands, a nephew, Tony Taylor, Orangeville and two great nieces.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend graveside services on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Road, Orangeville. The Rev. Darwin C. Goshorn, pastor of the Orangeville United Methodist Church will officiate. There will be no viewing,.
