Shirley F. Kooher
Shirley F. Kooher, age 78, 938-B E. Market St., Danville, died at her home and was pronounced dead at 10:08 p. m. Sunday, December 14, 2014. She was in ill health for several years.
Born in Danville on October 24, 1936, she was a daughter of the late William and Florence (Everett) Kooher.
A lifelong resident of Danville, she was a 1954 graduate of Danville High School.
Shirley was last employed by Weis Markets at their Danville Store, retiring about 2001. Earlier she was employed at the former Kennedy Van Saun plant , Danville, as an administrative assistant for many years and earlier she worked for the former Follmer Trucking Co.
She was a member of the Mahoning Presbyterian Church, Danville.
Shirley was an avid bowler earlier in her life, taking part in bowling tournaments.
She was preceded in death by her only sister, Helen Guarna on November 11, 2010.
Shirley is survived by two nieces: Anne, wife of Ed Faust, Oxford, N.J. and Nancy, wife of Mark E. Yohn, Sr., Danville; several great- nieces and great- nephews; and a number of cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a. m. from the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville, with her pastor, the Rev. Graham W. Rogers officiating. Interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville. Friends may call on Friday from 10-11 a. m.
