Shirley Mae Parks

Shirley Mae Parks, age 63, of 2711 Columbia Avenue, Bloomsburg, died early Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at the Bloomsburg Care and Rehabilitation Center, Bloomsburg, where she was a patient.

Born in Erie on December 15, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Laura (Carper) Parks. She resided in Bloomsburg for much of her lifetime.

Shirley was last employed at Thompson Mailing in Bloomsburg and previously she was employed in several local garment factories as a seamstress.

She loved sewing and was an excellent seamstress. She also enjoyed doing crafts of all types.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Parks and an infant sister.

Shirley is survived by two sisters: Patricia, wife of Randy Bonawitz of Harrisburg and Tina, wife of Marlin Erb., Jr. of Beach Haven, Berwick. There are also a number of nieces and nephews.

At Shirley’s request, there will be no funeral services or viewing.
