Stephanie Ann Hagemeyer, age 61, of 453 Drinker Street, Bloomsburg (Fernville) passed away peacefully with her family by her side at 3:51 p. m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital in Plains Township, Luzerne County where she was a patient since September 5, 2021.
Born in Bloomsburg on February 10, 1960, she was a daughter of John H. “Jack” and Lillian (Carl) Hagemeyer. A 1978 graduate of Bloomsburg High School, she resided in Fernville for the past seven years.
Stephanie served her country with honor by serving with the U. S. Army for seven years. She served in the Pacific with the Cruise Missile Program. Following her enlistment, she served as an Administrative Specialist with the Army for two years. She received the Salty Dog award from the U. S. Navy.
She worked in many parts of the world before returning to Fernville. She loved her family and taking part in family activities. Her cats, Bootsy and Sadie Jane, were an important part of her life.
Surviving in addition to her parents who reside in Fernville, are a brother Charles “Chuck” Hagemeyer and his wife Lisa of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters: Jonna Hagemeyer and her fiancé Henry Hendershot, II of Danville, Judi, wife of John Gensemer, Bloomsburg and Angela, wife of Joel McCabe, Winter Garden, Fla.; eight nephews and nieces: Chad Hettler, Kelly Beyers-Yushko, Valerie Stum, Sara Boyce, Jacquelyn Mracek, Shannon Laubach, Danielle Frazetta and Heather Wirzberger and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2 p. m. in Elan Memorial Park, 5595 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg with Rev. Gregory Moore officiating. Military honors will be provided by the combined VFW and American Legion group.
The Light of God “Surrounded You” and the Love of God “Enfolded You”. The Power of God “Protected You”, and the presence of God “Watched Over You. Where you have gone “God was waiting for you with his Love”. Love Mom.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
