Steven W. Bartholomew

Steve Bartholomew, age 66, of Stillwater, went home to be with his family and his Lord and Savior on Monday October 7, 2024 at his residence.

Born in Hamburg on July 30, 1958, he was the son of the late Frank and Janet (Bailey) Bartholomew. Steve was a 1975 graduate of Lebanon Area High School.

Steve was self-employed, racing and training Standardbred horses. He did most of his training at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds and had many wins in his career with a favorite horse, “Sarah’s Hall.”

Steve will be greatly missed by his wife of 23 years, Ginger (Yeager) Bartholomew; four children, Billie Jo Lanning, of Milford, Delaware, Tamsen (Parker) Troup, and her husband Denny, of Bloomsburg, Michael Parker, of Williamsport, and Alex Bartholomew, at home; six grandchildren, Rebecca Thomas, and her husband Jordan, of Maryland, Jordan Troup, of Bloomsburg, Cortney Sealund, of Georgia, Megan Troup, of Bloomsburg, Ashley Casner, of Delaware, Owen Lightner, of Williamsport; and three great-grandsons, R.J., Carter, and Adrian.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nicole Troup and great-granddaughter, Aria Thomas.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
