Steven R. Pappas, age 69, of 5 E. Park St., Bloomsburg, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at his home.
Born on August 11, 1952 in Polk, La., he was the son of the late Antonio and Delores (Stook) Pappas. A 1970 graduate of Plains High School in Wilkes-Barre, he resided in Bloomsburg for the past 22 years.
Before retiring in 2017, Steven was last employed by Pine Barn Inn in Danville as a night auditor. He was previously a chief purser on cruise ships.
Surviving is his wife, Stephanie A. (Pobudinski) Pappas, whom he married on October 11, 1985; two daughters: Alexis Pappas, wife of Jason Moore, of Danville, and Catherine, wife of Adam Parri, of Benton; a granddaughter, Stella Parri, who was "Pop Pop ’s Best Friend”; a sister, Cynthia Benson, wife of Paul Schuma, of Mountainview, Calif.; and a brother, David Pappas, and his wife Alice, of Ocoee, Fla.
Funeral services will be private.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
