Susan M. âSueâ Flanagan, age 56, 285-B Market St., Benton, died at her home at 5 a. m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Allentown on January 14, 1957, she was a daughter of Mildred (Kuntz) Dotter, Walnutport and the late Ernest Dotter. She resided in Benton for five years and previously lived in Bloomsburg.
Sue was a 1975 graduate of Jim Thorpe High School and also attended Luzerne County Community College. She was employed by Wise Food, Inc., Berwick for nine years, last working in 2011.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and being at home.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Flanagan in 2000; by a brother, Bobby Dotter and a sister, Evelyn Dotter.
Surviving in addition to her mother are three daughters: Marissa J., wife of Anthony Slick, with whom she resided; Max-An Benfield and Jessi-May Benfield, Mountaintop; five grandchildren: Lee Atkinson; Emily Blackburn; Kyla Benfield; Lilly Benfield; Airyona Heady; eight siblings: Ernest Dotter, and his wife Ruth, Lehighton; James Dotter, and his wife Hyun, Lawton; Barbara Dotter, Berlin, Wis.; Debbie, wife of Llewellyn Lichtenwalner, Toledo, Ohio; Donna Balak, Schnecksville; Bonnie Eberhardt, Allentown; Charles Dotter, and his wife Kelly Lynn, Palmerton; John âJackâ Dotter, and his wife Lori Sturdik, Lehighton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday at 7 PM in the Neighborhood Christian Center, 363 LaSalle Street, Berwick.
Friends may call at the home of her daughters, 329 S. Main Road, Mountaintop, on Sunday from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m.
