Susan L. Roberts

Susan L. Roberts, age 64, 369 Thomas Road, Bloomsburg, died at 2:20 p. m. Monday, July 6, 2015 at her home after being seriously ill since May 26th.

Born in Bloomsburg on March 5, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Zender D. and Mary I. (Brown) Winn. She resided in Mount Pleasant Township much of her life.

Susan was last employed in the food service program at Bloomsburg University and had previously been employed in local sewing factories for many years, including Decorator Industries.

She was a member of the Ft. McClure Post 804, VFW, Ladies Auxiliary.  She loved to go camping, play bingo and do needlepoint.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister,  Nancy  W. Leighow and a brother, Doyle G. Winn.

Susan is survived  by her husband, Arnold D. Roberts, III, with whom she celebrated her 48th wedding anniversary on January 29, 2015; five children: Arnold D. “Doc” Roberts, Jr., Lightstreet; David Roberts, and his wife Iris, Berwick; Marysue McDonald, and her partner Don Thomas, Mifflinburg;  John Roberts, and his wife Kelly, Millville; Peggy Roberts, Danville; 19 grandchildren;  15 great-grandchildren; seven siblings:  William L. Winn, and his wife Ann, Almedia.; Meriam Kay, wife of Kimber Rupp, Melbourne, Fla.; Wallace L. Winn, and his partner, Bonita LaCombe, Bloomsburg; Letha W., wife of Larry L. LeVan, Espy; Harriet, wife of Andrew Kosinski, St. Cloud, Fla.; Larry H. Winn, and his wife Linda, Lime Ridge; and Robert J. Winn, Catawissa. There are also a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with the Rev. David D. Rosenberger, pastor of the New Testament Assembly of God Church, Millville, officiating. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
