Thelma A. Shade

Thelma A. Shade, age 77, 118 Mooresburg Road, Danville, died at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville on   Tuesday, December 5, 2017.

Born in Harrisburg on February 5, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Thelma M. (Hoffsmith) Keister. She resided in Mooresburg for two years and formerly in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware for 10 years .Earlier she resided in Maryland for many years. She was a 1958 graduate of Central Dauphin High School.

Thelma was employed by WalMart in Rehoboth Beach for 10 years and prior to that she was employed at Ft. Meade Army Base in Maryland.

She was a member of the Ferndale United Methodist Church in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

She is survived by her husband, Barry N. Shade, with whom she observed her 58th wedding anniversary on March 29, 2017; a daughter, Kimberly, wife of Keith Rine,  Mooresburg; two sons: Michael A. Shade, at home and Douglas N. Shade, and his wife Diane, Finksburg, Maryland;  nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five brothers: Ed Keister, Bob Capp, Read Capp, Albert Keister, Irvin Keister;  three sisters: Dale Hoover, Marilyn Jacobs, Ruth Hller; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
