THOMAS H. MARKS
Thomas H. Marks, age 75, 68 Shelly Circle, Lewisburg was pronounced on arrival at the Evangelical Hospital in Lewisburg at 2:07 a. m. Saturday, August 7, 2010.
He was born on May 7, 1935 in White Deer Township, Union County, the son of the late Clark and Beryl (Ranck) Marks. He resided in Lewisburg for the past four years and previously lived at New Columbia for many years.
Tom was last employed at B-Z Motors, Lewisburg and before that he worked in the laundry of the Evangelical Hospital for seven years. Earlier he was employed by North Star Steel Co., Milton for 30 years.
He served with the US Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, the former Eva Mae Letteer, with whom he would have celebrated his 52 nd wedding anniversary on September 6, 2010; a son, Jack F. Marks, Sunbury; a daughter, Joleene L., wife of Curtis W. O'Neill, Mifflinburg; five grandchildren; a sister, Rochelle, wife of Al Foley, Sicklerville, N.J.; and two brothers: Maurice Marks, and his wife Stella, Mazeppa and Van Marks, and his wife Kathy, New Columbia.
A sister, Delores Ocker preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Benton, with the Rev. Daniel H. Hicks, pastor of the Buffalo Valley Charge of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment in New Columbus Cemetery, Luzerne County. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10-11 a. m.
