Vicki L. (Davis) Sherwood

Vicki L. (Davis) Sherwood, age 52, 2700 Lackawanna Ave., Lot 19, Bloomsburg, died at her home at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Bloomsburg on August 14, 1962, she was a daughter of Barbara (Bason) Davis, Bloomsburg and the late Donald J. Davis. She was a 1980 graduate of Bloomsburg High School and a graduate of Harrisburg Community College School of Nursing. She resided in Bloomsburg her entire life.

Vicki was employed as a Certified Nurse Assistant for Home Health Care.

Surviving in addition to her mother is her husband, Ed F. Sherwood, whom she married on September 4; a daughter, Desiree L. Young, Blakeslee; two grandchildren: Mason Pursel and Jada Pursel, both of Mt. Carmel; and a sister, Valerie, wife of Harry Fullmer, Glen Lyon.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Rev. Allen F. Acor, pastor of the Hendrickson-Mooresburg United Methodist Churches, officiating. Interment in New Rosemont Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Monday.
