Victor L. Kimsal, age 88, 115 Whitmire Road, Orangeville, died at 5:35 a. m. Thursday, June 18, 2020, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he had been a patient.
Born in Mt. Carmel on April 16, 1932, he was a son of the late Victor L. and Catherine (Suchocki) Kimsal. He resided in North Centre Township for 55 years.
Victor was a 1950 graduate of Catawissa High School and a 1954 graduate of Penn State University.
He was last employed by Harris Homes of Berwick and Hazleton, retiring in 1999 and previously held management positions with J. L. Dillon Flowers, Bloomsburg; TRW, Danville and Berwick Forge & Fabricating Co.
Victor was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg.
He was an intelligent man of high principals. A loving father, he was much loved by his sons and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings: Charlotte Fry, Rita Kunsaitis and Joseph Kimsal.
Victor is survived by his wife of 65 years, the former Mary Lou Kelly, and two sons: Victor J. Kimsal, Bowling Green, Ohio and Thomas Kimsal, Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada; three grandchildren: Hillary Kimsal, Harley Kimsal and Victor L. “Budd” Kimsal; one great-grandson, Alexander; two sisters: Mary Rineheimer, Berwick and Dolores Sugalski, Muncy; two brothers: Bernard Kimsal, and his wife Teresa, Berwick and Robert Kimsal, and his wife Shirley, Bloomsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a. m. in St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron Street, Bloomsburg, by his pastor Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10 – 11 a. m.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
