Victoria A. “Vicki” Borich, age 71, 218 E. Ninth St., Bloomsburg, died at 7:01 p. m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she was a patient for nine days. She was seriously ill since December 27, 2015.
Born in Bloomsburg on September 19, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Robert D. and Edith G. (Hershman) Cook. She attended the Bloomsburg Schools and was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg.
She enjoyed shopping, watching T.V. and spending time with her grandchildren.
Vicki worked on Main Street, Bloomsburg, most of her life. She began working at the former Hurr’s Dairy Store when she was 15 years old and worked there until the store closed in 1985. She then went across the street to work at Finn’s News Agency from January, 1985 until they closed on March 31, 2013. She took the rest of the year off to relax, before going to work at the Dollar General Store in the Market Street Plaza in December, 2014, last working in December, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Borich, Jr. on September 13, 2012 and by a brother, George H. Cook.
Vicki is survived by two sons: Martin J. Cook, and his wife Cindy and Michael M. “Mikie” Cook; two grandchildren: Cerella J. Borich and Brulyie K. Borich, all of Bloomsburg; and a brother, Robert L. Cook.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
