Virginia L. Reeder

VIRGINIA  L.  REEDER

Virginia L. Reeder, age 71, 1118 Mt. Zion Road, Danville, died at her home early Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012 and was pronounced dead at 4 a. m. She was in failing health for the past two years.

Born in Danville on Nov. 9, 1940, she was a daughter of Edna (Lynn) Jones, Danville, and the late Charles Yeager. She was a lifelong resident of the Danville area and a 1959 graduate of Danville High School.

Virginia was employed by the Pine Barn Inn as a bookkeeper, last working in 1994. Earlier she was employed at Danville State Hospital and the Danville Elks Club.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Danville.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother Larry Yeager.

Surviving in addition to her mother, is her step-father, Raymond Jones, Danville; her husband, Charles T. Reeder, with whom she would have  celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on Feb. 5, 2012; a son, Dale E. Reeder; a granddaughter, Shaunna L., wife of David Jones;  a grandson, Eric C. Reeder;  all of Danville; two great-granddaughters: Kiana S. Jones, Danville and Kilynn Hummer, Muncy; and a brother, Wayne Yeager, and his wife Carol, Florida.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a. m. in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville, with the Rev. C. Rayvon Hilliard, from Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Friends may call on Friday from 10-11 a. m.
