W. David Robinson, Jr.

W. David Robinson, Jr., age 89, of Oak Grove Road, Danville, died early Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, at the Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation, Danville, where he was a patient.

Born in Bloomsburg on December 3, 1934, he was the only child of the late William David, Sr. and Alice A. (Shade) Robinson. He was a 1952 graduate of Danville High School and a 1956 graduate of Penn State University.

David taught science in the Milton School District for 27 years, retiring in 1997.

He was a member of the Milton Lutheran Church. He also belonged to the Nittany Lion Club and was a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association.

David served his country as a member of the U. S. Army during the 1950’s.

Surviving is his wife, the former Shirley Boyer, with whom he observed their 67th wedding anniversary on December 25, 2023; a son, Gregory D. Robinson and his wife Teresa of Danville; a granddaughter, Kathryn Elizabeth, wife of Dustin Reid of Phoenix, Arizona and two great-grandchildren, Isaac and Cameron.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, at 2 p. m. in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville with his pastor, Rev. Gary Schaeffer officiating. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed by the honor guard of Post 40, American Legion. Viewing on Wednesday from 1-2 p. m.
