Walter Eugene Longenberger
Walter E. Longenberger, age 82, 1223 Ridge Road, Bloomsburg, died at his home at 6:30 a. m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 after an illness.
Born in Roaring Creek Township on July 9, 1930, he was a son of the late Ira and Ida (Bogert) Longenberger. He resided in Lightstreet for the past two years and previously lived in Pinellas Park, Florida.
Walter owned an auto transport business in Florida before retiring and previously owned a restaurant.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Lawrence Longenberger, Troy Longenberger, Robert Longenberger and by two sisters: Lois Gilbert and Katherine Weeks.
Walter is survived by a sister, Dorothy Thomas, Lightstreet; and two brothers: Donald F. Longenberger, and his wife Geraldine M., with whom he resided and Lester Longenberger, Berwick. There are also a number of nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral services or viewing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
