Waymon F. Reese, age 68, 260 W. Ninth St., Bloomsburg, died peacefully at his home after a brief battle with cancer, at 8:50 a. m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2012.
Born on July 18, 1944 in Wilder, Tenn., he was a son of the late Powers F., Jr. and Margaret (Scroggins) Reese. He resided in Bloomsburg since 1965.
Waymon was employed by the former TRW, Corp., Danville, for over 25 years, retiring in 2001.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed reading in his spare time.
Waymon served with the US Air Force for four years during the time of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Cassandra âCassieâ Anderson.
Surviving are his wife, the former Helen M. McVey, with whom he celebrated his 47th wedding anniversary on July 18, 2011; a daughter, Debbie (Reese), wife of Michael Parker, Bloomsburg; a son, William Reese, Benton; two grandsons: Travis Reese and Michael J. Parker; a granddaughter, Catherine Parker; and two nephews: Michael Anderson and David Anderson, both of New Hampshire.
In keeping with the request of his family, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
