Wayne B. Cotner
Wayne B. Cotner, age 62, 606 Valley Road, Danville, died unexpectedly at 7:27 p. m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 shortly after being admitted to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Bloomsburg on June 23, 1952, he was the son of Ruth M. (Snyder) Cotner, with whom he resided and late Willard A. Cotner, who died on March 13, 1995. He was a lifelong resident of Montour Township, Columbia County and a 1970 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.
Wayne was a laborer at various jobs his entire working career and retired in the fall of 2013.
He was a lover of the outdoors, camping, hunting and his favorite was fly fishing for trout.
Wayne was an expert fly fisherman and taught classes in fly tying. As a hunter, he used a muzzle loader and a bow and arrow. He also enjoyed camping with his buddies at Mile 7, Slate Run, Tioga County.
Wayne was preceded in death in addition to his father, by a sister, Linda A. Kopidlowski, on January 29, 2014.
Surviving in addition to his mother, is a sister, Darla M. Cotner, at home; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Allen F. Acor, retired United Methodist minister officiating. Private interment for the immediate family will be in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Viewing will be from 12 noon to 2 p. m.
