Wilbur F. Fogle, age 89, 109 E. Pebble Lane, Orangeville (Stony Brook Circle), died at 11:40 a. m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Grand View Health Homes, Danville, where he was a patient since February 2, 2010. He was in failing health since June, 2009.

Born on June 11, 1920 in Mount Victory, Ohio, he was a son of the late Wilbur T. and Hester (Faus) Fogle. He resided in the Bloomsburg area most of his lifetime and was a 1938 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.

Wilbur was last employed by the former Shoemaker Auto Supply, Bloomsburg, where he was salesman for 22 years before retiring in 1980.

He was a member of the Lightstreet United Methodist Church.

Wilbur served with the US Army during World War II, participating in the Central Europe and Rhineland campaigns. He was a member of the Valley of Bloomsburg Post 273, American Legion.

Surviving are his wife, the former Barbara C. Kilgus, with whom he celebrated his 64th wedding anniversary on March 22nd; a son, Wayne C. Fogle, Chandler, Ariz.; a daughter, Nancy F. Hinkle, Drums; four grandchildren: Sharon Musselman, Tiffany Dineen, Steven Hinkle, and Ryan Fogle; eight great-grandchildren: Christopher Musselman, Sarah Musselman, Collin Hinkle, Connor Hinkle, Makena Dineen, Drake Fogle, Gage Fogle and Chase Fogle; three sisters: Jean Kapp, Danville; Rose, wife of George DePoe, Fernville; and Ruth, wife of Thomas Webster, Sharpstown, Md.; aqs well as many nieces and nephews.

Wilbur was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jeffrey Hinkle in 2009; a grandson, Jeffrey Hinkle, Jr., in 2002; a brother, John Fogle; and three sisters: Mary Kashner, Margaret Kashner and Kathryn Snyder.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a. m. in the Lightstreet United Methodist Church, Main Street, Lightstreet, with his pastor, Rev. Charles L. Kind officiating. Private interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. The family will receive friends following the service.
