William P. "Bill" Miller

William P. “Bill” Miller, age 57, 194 Orchard Drive, Catawissa, died at 4:15 p. m. Friday, September 13, 2013 at his home after an illness of five years.

Born in Anderson, Ind.,  on August 5, 1956, he was the son of Eugene and Dorothy (Ebling) Miller, Byrdstown, Tenn. and resided in the Catawissa area since 1971.

Bill was a 1974 graduate of the Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech School.

He was employed most of his life in the family business, Miller & Sons Construction, Catawissa, as a carpenter.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, water skiing and riding his ATV. He was a member of the Mainville Sportsmans  Club.

Surviving in addition to his parents, are his wife, the former Jane L. Rhodes, with whom he celebrated 37 years of marriage on December 27, 2012; a daughter, Vicki L., wife of Chris T. Yackiel, Catawissa; a son, Cody W. Miller, at home; a granddaughter, April Rayn Miller, Catawissa; and three siblings: Shelley, wife of Dennis Massey, Florida; Michael Miller, Byrdstown, Tenn.; and Patricia Miller, Tenn.

At the request of the deceased there will be no funeral services or viewing.

Friends may remember Bill with a contribution to the American Cancer Society, 1420 N. Susquehanna Trail, Selinsgrove, PA 17870 or the Animal Resource Center, 301-A Boone Road, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
