WILLIAM H. "Bill" YUHAS, JR.
Willian H. "Bill" Yuhas, Jr., age 69, 42 Walnut Street, (Fernville) Bloomsburg, died at 6:35 p. m. Sat. July 21, 2012 in the emergency room of the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital where he was taken after being stricken at his home. He was in failing health for two years.
Born on July 11, 1943 in Nanticoke, he was a son of the late William H., Sr. and Betty Ruth (Owen) Yuhas. He resided in Bloomsburg for 30 years and previously lived in Scotch Valley (rural Bloomsburg) and in New Jersey.
Bill was employed at the former Bloomsburg Mills, Inc., for over 20 years, retiring in 2005.
His hobbies were fishing, boating and camping. He enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren, working in his garden and flower beds.
Bill was preceded in death by a son, Michael Christopher Yuhas on Jan. 27, 2000 and by a sister, Ruth Speer.
Surviving are his wife, the former Barbara J. Todd, with whom he celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary on June 23rd; a daughter, Barbara, wife of Gordon S. Gottshall, Bloomsburg; two sons: William J. Yuhas, and his wife Manette, Berwick (Foundryville) and Robert H. Yuhas, and his wife Denise, Bloomsburg; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel, wife of Arthur Covert, Millville; and a brother, Frank Yuhas, and his wife Kaylene, Bloomsburg.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 p. m.
