Woodrow A. Mack, age 94, 1 Ridall Road, Shickshinny, Luzerne County, died at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday, May 17, 2011.

Born in Forks Township, Northampton County on Dec. 29, 1916, he was a son of the late Elmer and Hattie (Miller) Mack. He resided at his present home for 31 years and previously lived in Orangeville and Plainfield Township, Northampton County.

He was the retired owner of Woodrow A. Mack Trucking Co. and also drove for several other trucking companies.

He was of the Catholic faith.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the US Army and was a member of the American Legion Post, Millville.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Velma V. (Tucker) Mack Reed; a daughter, Winifred Maimone Lipkowitz and seven siblings.

Surviving are his wife, the former Pauline (Minier) Ridall;  two sons: Barry V. Mack and his wife Janet, Nesquehoning and John W. Mack and his former wife Joan E., Penn Argyl; a step-son, Robert L. “Buck” Ridall and his wife Connie, Shickshinny; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

In accordance with Woodrow’s wishes there will be no viewing or services.
